National Scientific Medical Center
By the order of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a clinical hospital with a capacity of 240 beds was built in Nursultan. The construction was carried out in a similar way to the royal clinic in England. The hospital, which was opened in September 2001, changed its status over time, first becoming a Clinical Hospital (2003) to RGK, and then AO "National Scientific Medical Center" (2010).
since 2005, AO "NBTM" has become the center of the Eurasian Respiratory Society (EARO), and in 2007 it became part of the World Health Organization (WHO) by being included in GARD. in 2003, the cardiovascular surgery service was launched in order to improve cardiovascular surgery services, and the first open heart surgery was performed in 2004. since 2012, AO "NBTM" has been performing organ and cell transplantation operations. The center is included in the list of safe clinics for conducting international clinical research.
AO "NBTM" has coordinated all cardiology and cardiovascular surgery services of the country in accordance with the strategy of reducing deaths from cardiovascular diseases. In addition, the center has an approach that adopts international standards to improve the quality of health services.
