Constantine University Hospital
This hospital, founded in the first year of the French colonization of Algeria, is considered a unique example as the main entrance block of CHU. Over time, extensions were added to the hospital and it was converted for military purposes. However, the transformation process at the hospital has been known by a number of different titles:
Before 1950: Hôpital Militaire de Constantine (Constantine Military Hospital)
1950: Hôpital Civil de Constantine (Constantine Civil Hospital)
1960: Centre Hospitalier Régional (Regional Hospital Center)
1981: Secteur Sanitaire Universitaire Dr. Benbadis de Constantine (Dr. Benbadis University Health Sector, Constantine)
1986: Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Dr. Benbadis de Constantine (Dr. Benbadis University Hospital Center, Constantine)
