Başkent University Istanbul Health Application Research Center, Altunizade Mahallesi Oymacı Sok. It was opened on February 23, 2007 as a new health facility built by Başkent University with its own facilities and equipped with the most modern equipment on its plot at No.7.
The purpose of the establishment of Başkent University Istanbul Health Application Research Center is to provide safe, high-quality and fast health care to its patients. The university\'s understanding of quality in health care has been certified with “TS-EN ISO 9001:2015”. In this respect, the center is no different from the other 9 hospitals spread over the dormitory area of Başkent University. To put it briefly, Başkent University Istanbul Health Application Research Center is moving the knowledge and experience of Başkent University to Istanbul in a new building.
In addition to the main building with 126 beds consisting of an indoor area of approximately 13,000 m2, it provides services with Octakoy Dialysis Center with 44 beds and additional service polyclinics..
In addition to 70 patient beds at Başkent University Istanbul Hospital Oct.;
There are 21-bed Palliative Care Center, 12-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, 10-bed Anesthesia and Reanimation Intensive Care Unit, 7-bed Coronary Intensive Care Unit, 6-bed KVC Intensive Care unit. There are inpatient services on the 2nd floor in the main hospital building. Close monitoring and safety are at the forefront for inpatients in the wards. The emergency warning system called \"Code Blue\" and telemetric monitoring are among these security elements. Patients can be monitored from fixed monitors where they are lying down, as well as they can be monitored from monitors when they walk around and when they leave their rooms. In this way, rhythm problems that may occur while walking, even though they are not lying down, will also be identified. The ”Code Blue\" system is activated when an alert is received from the nurse call systems located in the patient\'s room and bathroom. An “emergency response team”, which is ready at any moment, reaches the scene as soon as possible and undertakes the “resuscitation” process, which has already been initiated on site. Whether this intervention is carried out at the required speed or not, and whether the team reaches it on time, is monitored by the management.
In addition, technical features such as operating room, intensive care and floor heat and ventilation monitoring, generator performance are constantly monitored from the central automation control center. Uninterruptible power supplies are constantly kept in operation in critical regions against power outages. Başkent University, which continues its rapid development in Istanbul, has further expanded its service area with its new outpatient clinics.
