Aziza Othmana Hospital
Aziza Othmana Hospital is one of the oldest hospitals in Tunisia and was founded in 1662 during the Murad Dynasty. Originally known as Bimaristan Al Azzafin (musicians' hospital), this area was located in the Al Azzafin bazaar, which was owned by Princess Aziza Othmana. 19. in the second half of the century, it was founded by Sadok Bey in 1879 as a hospital to provide care for the poor and needy. Later, it got its name as Sadiki Hospital, which had 100 beds, 18 of which were reserved for women.
Aziza Othmana Hospital provides services in various specialties such as dentistry, blood bank, hematology, obstetrics-gynecology, medically assisted reproduction, medical laboratories and medical imaging. In addition, he also has surgical specialties such as orthopedics, plastic surgery and hand surgery.
Aziza Othmana Hospital is known for its multi-purpose intensive care unit and trauma emergency department. However, in 2008, the burn department was transferred to the Trauma and Burn Center located in Ben Arous.
