How should nutrition be after Wipple procedure?
Care and nutrition are important after Wipple procedure. The diet is low in fat and protein. Care should be taken with every food taken after surgery. Nutrients should be high and heavy, fatty foods should be avoided. Alcohol consumption must be stopped. To facilitate the digestion of food, 5-6 meals should be consumed. Apart from meals, 8 glasses of water should be consumed daily. The nutrition recommended by the doctor should not be interrupted and vitamins should be consumed. Diarrhea after surgery is due to lack of nutrient absorption. To prevent nausea after surgery, it should be taken up to 1 hour before a meal.

What should be the care after Wipple procedure?
After the surgery, the use of medications approved by the physician should be done regularly. Enzyme-regulating drugs are of paramount importance. Doses of the medicine should be at the level prescribed by the doctor. In the first two years after surgery; it should be performed every 3 months. Afterwards, regular follow-up can be done every 6 months. Medication and stress should be avoided. Smoking should be avoided.

What is the recovery process after Wipple procedure?
You can stay in the hospital for 7 to 10 days after surgery. The healing process may vary depending on the patient’s condition. Postoperative care should be done regularly. Between 8 and 12 weeks, heavy lifting should be avoided. Check-ups should be carried out regularly. If there is no mishap during the controls, you can return to normal life.
